Detroit Lions Ticket Prices Soaring After Statement Win Over Chiefs

Tickets for the Detroit Lions opening home game next Sunday are soaring well into the hundreds after an impressive win.

DETROIT — Tickets for the Detroit Lions opening home game next Sunday are soaring well into the hundreds after an impressive win.

As of Monday morning, the cheapest ticket to Ford Field on Sept. 17 is $192 for the upper level on the secondary market. A pair of mid-level seats were going for around $300 and seats closer to the field in the lower level were going for over $400.

Those prices could rise even higher as the Lions prepare to open their highly anticipated season next Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. The Lions opened at 5.5 favorites to win the game.

The soaring ticket prices come after the Lions defeated the defending Super Bowl Champions, Kansas City Chiefs 21-20 Thursday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Lions also sold-out season tickets at Ford Field for the first time ever since the stadium opened in 2002. There is currently a waiting list for season tickets.
