That's when officers said Davis turned around the car and drove toward them, striking their armored vehicle. As officers reentered their scout car, Davis struck the car again, and that's when officers opened fire, striking Davis, prosecutors said.
Davis' car slowly came to a stop between Mark Twain Street and Strathmoor Street, and that's when officers placed him under arrest and took him to a nearby hospital, prosecutors said.
