Detroit Triple Homicide: 2 Teens Arrested

Police found a man and woman, believed to be in their late 20s or early 30s, and a 5-year-old boy shot execution style in a Detroit home.

DETROIT — Detroit Police arrested two teenagers Sunday in connection with a fatal triple shooting on the city's west side that killed two adults and a 5-year-old boy, officials said during a news conference.

The two teenagers, ages 16 and 17 were not identified by police and were arrested without incident, officials said. Police also said the two teenagers, both males, knew the victims.

Police found the bodies in a Detroit home on the 15000 block of Evergreen Road near Fenkell Street on Saturday night. Officers said the man, woman and little boy were shot multiple times execution style.

"Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the victims," Detroit Chief James White said. "It’s inexcusable for anyone to harm another person, especially a baby, and our department is dedicated to getting individuals capable of such a heinous crimes off the streets."
