Ford Piquette Avenue Plant's toy drive benefits Detroit youth
Items collected this holiday season through February 2020 will be distributed to youth through Brilliant Detroit homes

It’s the most wonderful time of year to bring holiday cheer to those in need. Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, the original factory owned and built by the Ford Motor Company, is hosting a toy drive to benefit families in Brilliant Detroit neighborhoods. The museum and education center is accepting donations of new toys now through the end of February 2020.
Brilliant Detroit’s wish list includes a wide variety of gifts in health, literacy and family support categories, including skateboards and sports equipment, art sets and Leap Frog books and snow suits and winter boots. All items must be new and in original packaging. A complete list is below. Patrons who donate new toys in their original packaging will receive $1 off adult, senior and student ticket admissions to the museum.
“We are proud to partner with Brilliant Detroit, an organization with tremendous dedication to improving the lives of people in the local community,” said David Flatt, executive director of Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. “Our goal is to brighten the holidays of the families and children Brilliant Detroit serves. Every child should have something to unwrap on Christmas morning.”
