Metro Detroit Weather Forecast: Rainy, Cloudy Week Ahead

You'll need your umbrella for sure, but what about your ice scraper?

METRO DETROIT, MI — The sun will be a stranger this week, but temperatures during the rainy first part of the week will remain above freezing, according to the seven-day forecast from the National Weather Service.

The greatest chances of rain are Monday and Monday night. The sun could make an appearance Tuesday before clouds return in the overnight hours, and don’t expect to see it again until the weekend.

Monday: A 50 percent chance of rain; cloudy, with a high near 49; south southeast wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Monday night: 90 percent chance of rain; temperatures rising to 49 by 3 a.m.; south southeast wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph; new precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 57; south southwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Tuesday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 44; south wind around 8 mph.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of rain; mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Thursday night: Cloudy, with a low around 34.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38.
