Metro Detroit Weather: Snow/Rain Returns Tuesday

METRO DETROIT — Another round of rain/snow showers will cross the metro Detroit area Tuesday morning with temperatures at the freezing mark, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect the light rain and snow showers to move into the metro Detroit area sometime Tuesday morning before 10 a.m. when temperatures will be in the upper 20s, according to the National Weather Service.

The wintry mix will fade away during the morning hours Tuesday, before a second round of light rain and snow showers return to the metro Detroit area during the afternoon hours when highs reach the mid 30s, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters do not expect any snow accumulation Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Any lingering rain and snow showers in the metro Detroit area should dissipate sometime Tuesday night, as drier weather moves into the area, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures in the metro Detroit area can even hit the 50s by the end of this week, according to the National Weather Service.
