DETROIT — A new microcinema with drinks and food is opening in the former space of a popular Detroit tiki bar.
The Fourth Wall will open Thursday at 15421 Mack Ave., just east of Alter Road on the Grosse Pointe border. The spot was home to the Lost River cocktail bar before it shut down.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be served inside the new cinema, which will have movies playing "all the time" with sound. A full cocktail bar will also be available upstairs at the sister bar, Apartment Disco - the group’s newer 1970s themed bar.

There is no cost to enter the cinema and no reservations are needed.
The cinema will also look to feature scheduled showtimes, guest speakers, double features on Sundays, and food from Detroit dumplings restaurant Gajiza Dumplins. The cinema will also provide food Apartment Disco.

You can find a full list of films, food and artwork on the Fourth Wall website before its soft opening Thursday.
The cinema will be open Thursdays from 6 p.m. to midnight, Fridays 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturdays from noon to 2 a.m.
Officials at the Lost River did not say when or if the popular tiki bar would reopen.
"It isn’t goodbye for good, but goodbye for now," organizers said in a social media post in March. "While we work on next steps, know that you can still visit us at the newly opened @aptdisco upstairs every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m."
