EGLE grant will help clean up a contaminated site and create new jobs in Detroit (michigan.gov) — A long-vacant, contaminated former dry cleaner on East Warren in Detroit's Morningside neighborhood is being cleaned up with a $560,000 state brownfield grant so it can reopen as the Cash Only Bistro, creating 16 jobs. Crews will remove polluted soil, install a vapor venting system, and transform the blighted site into a community-focused pasta restaurant backed by neighborhood revitalization groups.
