Popular Beach Bar Returning To Detroit's Campus Martius This Month

A popular beach bar is returning to Campus Martius later this month.

DETROIT — A popular downtown Detroit beach bar is returning later this month.

Elia Group announced their BrisaBar will reopen in Campus Martius on Thursday, May 18. The group also runs the Cadillac Lodge in Cadillac Square during the winter months.

The outdoor beach bar in the heart of the city will offer refreshing food and beverages, such as beer, pop and other tropical drinks. Sone of the favorites include, margarita slushies, daiquiris, beers and seltzers, as well as the "Motown Mojito," which has light rum, simple syrup, lime juice, soda and fresh mint.

The bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Wednesday for lunch, happy hour (3 to 6 p.m.) and dinner, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday. Guest can enjoy $8 cocktails and $12 appetizers during happy hour.

In addition, a live DJ will perform on Friday and Saturday nights, and free movie nights on Wednesday evenings.

"The return of the BrisaBar is yet another reason to visit Campus Martius Park, the No. 1 public square in the U.S., this summer," David Cowan, chief public spaces officer for the Downtown Detroit Partnership. said in a statement. "We're proud to partner with the Elia Group throughout the year and our placemaking work in Downtown Detroit is even more successful because of iconic culinary experiences like BrisaBar."
