Shooter Fires 10 Rounds Into SUV On Detroit Freeway: Police
There were no injuries in the shooting, Michigan State Police said.
DETROIT — Police are investigating an overnight freeway shooting in Detroit after a shooter fired numerous shots into an SUV on the Southfield Freeway, according to Michigan State Police.
A man was driving a green Chevy Suburban in the left northbound lanes on the Southfield Freeway near 7 Mile Road at 12:40 a.m. when a white Chevy Suburban pulled up next to it, police said.
Someone inside the white Chevy Suburban then fired multiple shots, striking the green Chevy Suburban ten times, police said.

The driver inside the green Chevy Suburban was not struck by any rounds, but did suffer minor cuts from broken glass, police said.
After the shooting, the man drove up to Northwestern Highway, near 12 Mile Road, pulled over and called 911, police said.

Officials closed the northbound lanes on the Southfield Freeway at McNichols Road for an hour while they investigated the shooting, police said.
