Authorities say the 37-year-old teacher displayed obscene conduct while parked at a local kids sporting event.
GROSSE ILE, MI — A 37-year-old teacher in Grosse Ile has been charged with indecent exposure and obscene conduct stemming from an incident at a recent youth sporting practice.
Christopher Metzger, of Trenton, is a Grosse Ile Township teacher accused of "engaging in lewd behavior" in his car while parked near a sports field, on Aug. 28, authorities said. He was reportedly at Commerce Park at Hornet Avenue near Fourth Street in Grosse Ile, where practice was being held, when a parent walked by Metzger’s car and saw him exposed and engaged in obscene conduct, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said.
Metzger has been placed on administrative leave, authorities said, and turned himself in.
