There are multiple chances for rain as temperatures warm up this week across metro Detroit, forecasters said.

There are multiple chances for rain as temperatures warm up this week across metro Detroit, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers will move into the area Wednesday afternoon before a heavier wave of rain blankets the area on Thursday with highs close to 50 degrees, the weather service said.

It will only get warmer from there as highs will touch 60 degrees on Friday and then near 70 degrees on Saturday, though rain is likely for both days, the weather service said.

The rain moves out of the area by Sunday with highs hovering around 60 degrees, the weather service said.
