Woman Dies In Crash On I-94 In Detroit: Police
Police believe the woman was driving drunk as officers found an open alcohol bottle in the car.
DETROIT — A woman was killed in a Monday morning crash on Interstate 94 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers said the woman was driving a car at 1:05 a.m. on westbound Interstate 94 near Livernois Avenue where she failed to navigate a curve and smashed into a wall.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.

"Another family will be mourning because of a preventable traffic crash," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "Please use a designated driver if you are going to drink and always wear your seatbelt. It will save your life!"
Officials were still investigating the crash and were waiting for results from the medical examiner’s office Monday morning.
