Woman Robs Detroit Dollar Store At Gunpoint: Police

Police said the woman pointed a gun at a store clerk who confronted her outside the store about items she took without paying.

DETROIT — Police are searching for a woman who threaten a store clerk with a gun after walking out of a Detroit dollar store with merchandise she didn't pay for, officials said.

Authorities said the woman entered the Dollar General on the 13300 block of East 7 Mile Road near Alcoy Avenue in Detroit on Saturday, and began filling her grocery cart with items.

She then walked out of the store without paying, and a clerk chased after her into the parking lot. That's when authorities said she pulled out a gun and pointed it at the clerk. The woman then fled the parking lot with some of the items she took from the store, authorities said.

There were no injuries reported in the armed robbery, authorities said.
