Stacy's Knit and Crochet
Stacy Maier has been selling her knit and crochet wares at the Dexter Farmers Market for the past eight years. She is from Chelsea but the Dexter Market is the only one at which she is a vendor. Stacy knits and crochets beautiful things most of which you can see at her booth. She makes single and double hot plate pads - pot holders that are colorful and a realistic size (not tiny). She sells dish towels with a crochet hanging button piece - you know so you can hitch the towel around a drawer handle, fasten it and then later when you are looking for a dish towel - Aha...right where you left it. Stacy knits kitchen wash cloths - she calls them wash rags but, Stacy does not make anything that anyone would call a rag so I prefer to call them cloths. Usually Stacy is working on a baby blanket or two and will make these on request so you can choose the colors. My friend Karen's most favorite things at Stacy's booth are her school color scarves (Maize and Blue and that other U in the middle of the state). I agree - they are very nicely made. They are very stylish, warm, cozy and soft and what a great statement of support for your team - everyone in Dexter should buy a Dexter colors scarf from Stacy to show support of our young people. At Stacy's booth you will also find bags of pretzels - either spicy or dill flavored.I think that the best thing you will find a Stacy's booth is Stacy. She is funny, smiling, cheerful - you just leave Stacy's booth feeling a whole lot better about life.
