Biggby Coffee CEO Bob Fish Plans Visit to Chelsea

The company's founder will be serving free coffee to patrons on Jan. 12.

CHELSEA — Biggby Coffee is starting the new year off right with free coffee for patrons at the chain's Chelsea location, 1171 S. Main St., on Jan. 12.

From 8-10 a.m., Biggby Coffee CEO Bob Fish will be at the store treating anyone to the drink of their choice, as the location hosts the first company-wide “Spot Biggby Bob" event of 2012.

These events have led Fish to a wide variety of stores throughout the Midwest and beyond, all for the sole purpose of meeting some of the coffee shop's customers and treating them to their favorite drinks on the menu. Now entering its fourth year, Fish said the anticipation and excitement surrounding this year’s events has never been stronger.

“I always get a great feeling traveling to different stores and meeting some of the people that have been supporting Biggby and cheering for us since we got our start almost 17 years ago,” Fish said. “The crew at our Chelsea location do an incredible job at their store and I’m looking forward to spending the morning with them and meeting their awesome customers.”

The store will also offer special coupons valid the following week, good for a different 99 cent drink special each day beginning Jan. 16.

“We cannot wait to have Bob here and really get 2012 started with a bang,” store owner Chris Kosmet said. “The word that 'Spot Bob' will be at our store is already spreading through the community and we are preparing for one of the greatest events yet. We hope everyone will come out for their free drink, pick up some coupons, and join us in the fun and excitement."
