Dexter Community Orchestra Performs Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony

The concert will take place on Sunday and is free to the public.

The will perform its second concert of the 201-2012 season at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The concert will showcase Ludwig van Beethoven’s "Pastoral Symphony." The concert will be held in the .

The orchestra will also perform Dimitri Shostakovich’s "Festival Overture" and Claude Debussy’s "Danses Sacred and Profane" with Celise Gutierrez on harp.

Music Director Anthony Elliott will lead the orchestra.

“I am excited for our orchestra to play these three works for the Dexter community," he said. "These three composers were influenced by the world around them in their music and this is greatly reflected in their works. I hope our audience hears this in our performance."
