Dexter Varsity Swim Team Captures Division Championship
Dreadnaughts win their 13th consecutive division title during the weekend meet.

The Dexter boys varsity swimming and diving team captured its 13th consecutive Southeastern Conference White Division championship, besting the field during the weekend league meet with 547 points.
Placing second was Tecumseh with 232 points, followed by Chelsea in third place with 196 points and Adrian in fourth place with 195 points. Ypsilanti was fifth overall with 135 points, while Ypsilanti Lincoln was sixth with 89 points.
Individually for the Dreadnaughts, Stephen Sobczak earned two championships, finishing first in the 100-meter backstroke in 53.66 and first in the 100-meter freestyle in 47.71.

Jake Claflin was first in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 1:48.92 and first in the 500-meter freestyle in 4:57.82.
Paul Ruble touched first in the 50-meter freestyle in 23.09, while Austin Daugherty was first in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:05.2.

In the 200-meter medley relay, the Dexter foursome of John Eber, Claflin, Daugherty and Sobczak finished first with a clocking of 3:19.27.
In the 200-meter freestyle relay, the Dreadnaught group of Nate Kilian, Brennan Maisch, Eber and Daugherty placed first in 1:31.5.
In the 200-meter medley relay, Dexter’s Ian Wilson, Josh Boren, Maisch and Sobczak finished first with a time of 1:40.31.
