Dionysus Theatre Opening in Brighton on March 1
Encore Theatre Artistic Director Steve DeBruyne is partnering to bring live theater shows to Livingston County.

Livingston County residents Steve DeBruyne and Matt Tomich are bringing Michigan’s newest live theater company to the City of Brighton.
The Dionysus Theatre will open in Brighton on March 1, with a two-show pre-season, which will be followed by their first full season of shows. The 370-seat theater will be located in the existing building at 301 Appian Way, off Grand River Avenue between Main Street and Old US-23.
The theater is named after the Greek god Dionysus, who was considered the god of theater. A patron of the theater, Greek myths say that when Dionysus went abroad he was accompanied by Muses who, with their songs and dancing, delighted the heart of the god.
