The show has been revamped and includes all new songs for 2011.

The cast and crew at the in Dexter is hard at work on the 2011 production of The Encore’s original musical It’s a Wonderful Life.
The show made its world premiere at The Encore in 2010. The musical is based on the classic holiday film starring Jimmy Stewart. The tale takes place in Bedford Falls, NY. in 1946. George Bailey, who has long considered himself a failure, faces financial ruin and arrest and is doubting his own self worth. But, high above Bedford Falls an eternally bumbling angel, Clarence Oddbody, is sent to help George out. After 200 years Clarence has yet to earn his wings. But before he can do that, Clarence is given a crash course on George's life, and the multitude of selfless acts he has performed.
Since the world premiere in 2010, the show has been reworked and features new scenes and music. The 2011 production will reunite several cast members from the 2010 production including Rusty Mewha as George Bailey, Steve DeBruyne as Clarence Oddbody and Liz Griffith of New York as Mary Hatch.
