• Webster Twp: Notice of Zoning Board of Appeals Public Meeting 9/17/26 (thesuntimesnews.com) — Webster Township's Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Township Hall on Webster Church Road in Dexter to consider an expansion of a nonconforming home on Leach Lane. Residents can review application materials at Township Hall and submit written or verbal comments before or during the meeting. 
• Lima Twp: Notice of Adoption of Ordinance Amendment (thesuntimesnews.com) — Lima Township has adopted a zoning ordinance amendment creating a process to temporarily pause new land uses not clearly covered in current rules, with the change taking effect seven days after this notice. Residents with questions about how the new moratoria tool might affect future permits can contact the township board or zoning administrator at the Dexter Jackson Road office.
• Gary Grant Robinson (thesuntimesnews.com) — Longtime Dexter resident Gary Grant Robinson, a devoted husband to Mary Elizabeth Robinson of Dexter, passed away suddenly at home on July 22, 2026. The highly educated archaeologist and author is remembered as intelligent, kind, and generous; cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held later in Traverse City.
