The report also notes similar representation at other Dexter schools and explains how Michigan's increased per-pupil funding supports local classrooms and meals. 
• Dexter Boy Scouts Go On a Great Lakes Sailing Adventure (thesuntimesnews.com) — Dexter's Boy Scout Troop 477 spent nearly a week crewing a 52-foot training sailboat on Lakes Michigan and Huron, learning real-world navigation, safety, and sailing skills. Scouts rotated above- and below-deck duties, plotted routes through smoky conditions from Canadian wildfires, and capped days with small-town stops from Hessel to Cheboygan.
• Gary Grant Robinson (thesuntimesnews.com) — Dexter is mourning the sudden July 22 passing of resident Gary Grant Robinson, a beloved husband to Mary Elizabeth Robinson of Dexter and a kind, generous friend and family member. A highly educated archaeologist and author, he chose cremation, with a private family memorial planned in Traverse City and suggested donations to the Humane Society.
