Photo Gallery: History Comes Alive at Waterloo Farm Museum
The Michigan Artist Blacksmith Association hosts annual Blacksmiths, Soldiers & Log Cabin Weekend.
The Waterloo Farm Museum in Grass Lake held its annual Blacksmiths, Soldiers and Log Cabin Weekend as part of the statewide celebration of Michigan's log cabins on Sunday.
According to the museum's website, Log Cabin Day is a statewide event that showcases pioneer life. It is still the only annual statewide log cabin celebration in the country.
On Sunday, the museum came alive as residents from Dexter, Chelsea and other parts of Washtenaw County toured Civil War encampments on the grounds of the Realy farmhouse and took part in demonstrations of blacksmithing and woodworking.
