Police Blotter: Deputies Investigate Series of Thefts
Here is a look at some of the crime highlights in Dexter this week.

Suspicious Person
On April 11 around 6 p.m., a deputy with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the 7900 block of Fourth Street in Dexter for a report of suspicious persons. The caller reported that three males and one female made contact with the caller. The individuals indicated that they could save the caller money on her gas bill but did not work for any gas company. Deputies were unable to make contact with the individuals, according to reports.
Home Invasion

- On April 10, a deputy with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the 8000 block of Dexter Gables Lane for an attempted home invasion investigation. It was discovered that unknown individuals attempted to gain entry through an unlocked window, according to reports.
- On April 2, a deputy with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the 9000 block of Linck Drive for a home invasion investigation.
Upon arrival it was determined that unknown individuals had gained access through a window, according to reports. A television set was removed from the residence.
Stolen Vehicle
On March 28, a deputy with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the 9300 block of Dexter-Pinckney Road for a stolen vehicle investigation, which occurred overnight.

A set of keys had been left inside of a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, according to reports.
At 7:30 a.m. the owners reported the vehicle missing. It was later located on Dexter Pinckney-Road near the Livingston County border. A GPS was removed from the vehicle, according to police.
