Police Report: Humane Society Removes Animals from Locked Car in Dexter

Animal Extraction
On Tuesday, the Humane Society of Huron Valley was called to the 300 block of North Maple Road near the Dollar Tree shopping complex in Dexter to take possession of three animals locked in a parked car. According to Lt. Angella Abrams of the Ann Arbor Police Department, a passer-by noticed the animals in the vehicle and contacted law enforcement around 11 a.m. Due to extreme heat conditions, officers requested assistance from the Humane Society to remove the animals.
Larceny
On Monday, deputies assigned to Scio Township were dispatched to Jackson and Zeeb roads in response to a complaint of stolen construction material. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that unknown individuals had stolen a large quantity of steel plates from a construction site over the weekend. No further information is known. The case is open and ongoing.
Burglary
On Monday, deputies assigned to Scio Township were dispatched to the 3000 block of Robinwood Drive in response to a home burglary complaint. The homeowners told deputies that an unknown individual entered their garage and stole multiple items. The incident remains under investigation. There are no suspects at this time.
