Rep. Mark Ouimet Posts Perfect Voting Record for 2011
The state representative says voting on legislation should be a priority for all lawmakers in Lansing.

State Rep. Mark Ouimet, R-Scio Township, maintained a perfect voting record during the Michigan House of Representatives legislative session of 2011.
The House took 619 roll call votes, and Ouimet did not miss a single vote. The nonpartisan website www.michiganvotes.org compiles the voting histories of lawmakers in the Michigan House and Senate.

“Close to 90,000 constituents depend on me to represent their interests at the Capitol on a consistent basis, and I take great pride in my perfect voting record,” Ouimet said. "The Legislature has the monumental task of helping improve Michigan's economy, and I want to be there to vote on these important issues.”
The Michigan House this year enacted a simplified state tax structure to help improve the economy, finished the state budget earlier than any time during the last 30 years, and eliminated lifetime benefit perks for state lawmakers.
