Weingartz Plans Grand Opening Celebration
The outdoor power equipment retailer is offering customers a chance to win a Club Cadet tractor.
Weingartz, a Michigan-based outdoor power retailer, is celebrating its expansion into western Washtenaw County with the grand opening of its fifth store, located at 5436 Jackson Rd. in Scio Township.
The store, which opened April 4, is giving away a Cub Cadet LTX1042 lawn tractor valued at $1,800 as part of its "Field of Dreams" giveaway and grand opening event on Saturday.
Weingartz’s new location just east of Zeeb Road is housed in a former Harley-Davidson dealership.

“We are really excited about our new location,“ owner Dan Weingartz said. “We’ve had customers driving from the Ann Arbor area to our other locations for years now, so it’s nice to be able to open something up closer to them.”
Weingartz said he's been shopping for a location in Ann Arbor for the past four years.

At 22,000 square feet, the new store is the largest in the company and will be used to better suit the company's needs for servicing tractors, lawn mowers and other products, Weingartz said.
The store's grand opening will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Ten contestants will compete for the Cub Cadet, with each drawing a key that could start the tractor. The 10 finalists will be selected randomly from in-store and online entries as well as from those who attend Saturday's event. Runners-up will receive a $50 Weingartz gift card.
To enter the "Field of Dreams" giveaway, either visit the local Weingartz outlet or stores in Utica, Farmington Hills and Clarkston, go to www.weingartz.com or listen to Chuck Edwards on 99.5 WYCD weekdays from 3-7 p.m.
