• Teen promotes inclusivity with literacy project (candgnews.com) — A Farmington Hills Girl Scout and Farmington Public Schools student has earned the prestigious Gold Award for creating an inclusive literacy curriculum for grades 3-5, inspired by her diverse hometown where over 60 languages are spoken. Her project, built around a globally themed storybook and classroom activities, has drawn strong praise from educators and students and even led to national recognition opportunities in Washington, D.C.
   

• Witness describes gruesome scene where body found at Farmington park (detroitnews.com) — Farmington-area readers are learning more about a May homicide at Woodland Hills Nature Park, where a hiker discovered a man's badly beaten body along the trail. During a preliminary hearing in Farmington Hills' 47th District Court, witnesses and a police officer described the scene and a younger man seen with the victim, as the judge considers whether the accused will stand trial for second-degree murder.
