Wool Felting Workshop, ages 17 and older, Instructor: Meredith Reeds. Learn the process of manipulating wool fiber (roving) to create a unique fabric. Leave the workshop with a completed project such as a purse, scarf or jewelry! Saturday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Stables Studio, Heritage Park.
Camera Intensive Workshop, ages 17 and older, Instructor: S. Kay Young. Learn more than the basic skills in this four-hour intensive workshop designed to teach you how to master your digital camera! Saturday, Nov. 19, 1 p.m.-5 p.m., Stables Studio, Heritage Park.
Music Lessons and Classes for Kids, Teens and Adults
Piano: Individual piano lessons are offered at the historic Longacre House, for children – adults, aged 8 and up, Monday through Thursday, by talented instructor Jim Nuckolls. Session times and dates vary. Lessons are available for beginning through advanced students.
Guitar: Both group classes and individual lessons taught by Al Rosenthal are available at the Costick Center. Group lessons (ages 12 – adult) are an excellent way to learn from each other, in a comfortable setting. Group acoustic guitar lessons for beginning or intermediate students are held on Saturday mornings, with beginners at 10 a.m.–10:50 a.m. and intermediate at 11 a.m.–11:50 a.m. Private lessons are held for ages 8 and up on Wednesdays and Fridays, with different session times available. Private instructions include acoustic, electric or bass guitar and are tailored to each student.
Vocal: Do you love to sing and wish to develop your skills? Aspiring singers can take advantage of professional performer Bruce Pooley’s many years of experience on the stage with individual vocal lessons. Children aged 8 through adults of all skill levels will learn proper vocal placement, pitch control, breath support, ear training, note reading and more in these fun-filled lessons, geared to each person’s individual needs. Vocal lessons are Mondays and Saturdays at the ; session times and dates vary.
