Family Physician Mary Ann Skoures, M.D., Joins Medical Staff at Botsford Hospital

Mary Ann Skoures, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. This board-certified family medicine physician sees patients at Botsford Primary Care Physicians located at 27031 Warren Road in Dearborn Heights, (313) 274-3320.

After receiving the Master of Science in Medical Science and the Doctor of Medicine degrees from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Skoures completed her residency in family medicine at Beaumont Health System, Grosse Pointe Campus.

Dr. Skoures speaks fluent Greek. Throughout her undergraduate, graduate and medical education, she worked at an analytical chemistry lab in Corinth, Greece.

Among Dr. Skoures' many awards and accomplishments are serving as vice president of her medical school's Neurology Interest Group and receiving the Excellence Award from the Detroit Medical Center’s Department of Endocrinology.

She has wide-ranging volunteer experiences, from community activism to pro bono medical care for the disadvantaged.  Dr. Skoures is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Botsford Hospital is a multi-specialty 330 bed hospital and verified trauma center located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The campus also houses an imaging center and a comprehensive care cancer center. Botsford Hospital is also home to an extensive medical education program and is part of Michigan State University's statewide campus system. Botsford Hospital each year cares for approximately 17,000 inpatients and more than 60,000 emergency and trauma patients with a team of 2,500 employees, 300 volunteers and more than 600 physicians. A not-for-profit hospital, Botsford provided almost $15.2 million in community benefit during its 2010 fiscal year.
