Area residents invited to Holy Week activities
Easter egg hunt, brunch and various worship services offered at First Presbyterian Church of Farmington
There’s something for the whole family during Easter Week at the First Presbyterian Church of Farmington including Holy Week worship services for spiritual enrichment, an Easter brunch and an Easter egg hunt for children and youth.
Worship service on Palm Sunday, April 9 starts at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary with a drama presentation of scripture designed by the church’s Creative Arts Ministry Team. Join us for this fresh expression of God’s Word as we experience worship with our whole spiritual creative self. The service will be followed by a complimentary coffee and snack hour.
On Maundy Thursday, April 13, everyone is welcome to this Taize service to the glow of candlelight to commemorate the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. This service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary will feature Holy Communion and Washing of the Hands and will include song, prayer, scripture and a meditation.

Holy Week concludes with the offering of two Easter worship services on Sunday, April 16 at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The early service is more casual and will include Holy communion. The later service will be a more traditional service with full choir and brass accompaniment. A complimentary Easter brunch will be served between the two worship services. The free brunch will consist of eggs, pancakes, sausage and fruit plus juice, coffee and tea. A gluten-free offering will be available too.
There will also be an Easter egg hunt for children and youth on Easter Sunday at 9:15 a.m.

"The church is barrier free and has ample parking," said Pastor Eddie Jusino. We welcome everyone in the community to worship with us and offer free child care during Sunday worship services."
