Body Found In Commerce Township Lake: Officials

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, MI — Officials found a man dead in a Commerce Township lake Wednesday afternoon, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

Police found the body on Lower Straits Lake in Commerce Township after a homeowner called police when they saw something floating in the water, officials said.

Police identified the man as a 34-year-old Waterford Township resident who disappeared on April 4, officials said.

Police do not believe there was any foul play, but an autopsy was scheduled to be done on Thursday to determine the cause of death, officials said.
