Botsford Hospital announces Board leadership appointments
Farmington Hills, Mich. (September 23, 2014)---Botsford Hospital announces leadership appointments to its Board of Directors. They are:
- Kenneth D. Massey, Ph.D., has been named as Board chair. He has served as a member of the Botsford Hospital Board since 2006 and is a graduate of the Excellence in Governance Fellowship of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association. A lifelong resident of Farmington Hills, Massey is the senior director of venture development at Wayne State University as well as the principal of Ken Massey & Associates, Consultants LLC. He was first elected to the Farmington Hills City Council in 2003 and served the city as Mayor Pro Tem in 2006 and 2010. Massey is a member and past chair of the Farmington Hills/Farmington Emergency Preparedness Commission. He advocates nationally for Farmington Hills as a member of the National League of Cities (NLC) Public Safety and Crime Prevention Steering Committee and served as the organizationβs chair in 2012. Massey is the NLC liaison for the Department of Homeland Security Consortium. He also is the chair of Farmington S.A.F.E., a Board member of the Southeast Michigan chapter of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention and director of the Graham E. Smith Memorial Fund for Suicide Prevention.
- Deborah E. Lamm, MPA, of Franklin, has been named as Board vice-chair. She has served as a member of the Botsford Hospital Board since 2011 and is a graduate of the Excellence in Governance Fellowship of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association. In a 25-year career in the health field, Lamm held positions with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the United States Conference of Mayors and George Washington University. Additionally, Lamm has served as Board chair for the Denver (CO) Childrenβs Home, as a Board member of the Wayne State University Center for the Study of Citizenship and as a volunteer for the Detroit Public Schools Reading Corps.
