SYNERGY HomeCare of Farmington Observes American Heart Month, Offers Tips for Stroke Prevention

Every year, the American Heart Association recognizes February as American Heart Month, and SYNERGY HomeCare of Farmington, emphasizes the importance of increased stroke awareness for older adults and their loved ones.
Unfortunately, cardiovascular disease affects everyone in some form as it is the leading cause of death in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in every three deaths is from heart disease and stroke, equal to 2,200 deaths per day. Stroke is also a leading cause of serious, long-term adult disability.
