What In the World are They Doing in Washington?
How many bills are there vs how many get enacted is a pathetic record.
So far this year weโve had 4,288 bills introduced in the Congress. That puts our congressmen and senators on track for a banner year in terms of number of bills introduced, and probably for fewest bills enacted too.
Congress operates in two-year terms. 2011 is the first year of the โ112th Congressโ. The table below shows the breakdown for the last 13 years.
