Brahms and More!

Chamber Music the Scarab Club is excited to open its 28th season upstairs in the lounge gallery of Detroit's historic Scarab Club! Drake Dantzler, tenor; Alta Boover Dantzler, contralto; John Alexander Madison, viola; and Simon Adda-Reyss, piano, will present an intimate afternoon of chamber music exploring love, faith, consolation, and spiritual reflection. The program will include Johannes Brahms's Two Songs, Op. 91 and Ralph Vaughan Williams's Four Hymns. Don’t miss these exceptional musicians performing in the Scarab Club’s remarkable acoustics. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to hear the Club’s historic Pleyel piano, built in the 1870s. CMSC concerts offer an intimate experience, with audiences seated close to the musicians and surrounded by beautiful works of art—an unforgettable setting for chamber music.
