Working as a IBEW Local 58 electrician. I've served the of citizens of Detroit as a Detroit Fire Fighter and volunteer as a Wayne County Cert Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
In 2017, I was elected to serve on the Detroit Board of Police Commissioners representing District 1.
In 2012 Republicans passed Right to Work Legislation, I will fight to repeal the right to work law in the state of Michigan, I will support and create legislation to eliminate taxes on retiree pensions, I will work closely with our educators to improve our public education system. I will create and support legislation to improve our environmental regulations and climate change initiatives. Public Safety is a concern for all citizens as your next Senator I will work to insure that all families in the new senate district 6 can continue to enjoy the safe quality of life they deserve.
As a business owner and developer I will work to create and support legislation to bring new economic development to the state of Michigan .
My life has been that of a public servant. My past experiences has lead me to seek your support, as your next Senator in the New 6th District.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I'm married, have a strong Union and Public Safety background. I identify with working class Michiganders and our experiences with failed policies

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

This is a New Senate District

Do you think the federal government can or should do more to curb inflation, which has led to an increase in prices for food, gas and other goods?

Yes, definitely. The federal government has a responsibility to meet the needs of its people and protect their fundamental rights and work to improve our quality of Life.

Do you support changing the state’s constitution to ensure that women have to right to get an abortion?

I support the will of the people and this issue should go before the people as a ballot initiative.

Do you support the Raise the Wage ballot initiative, which would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2027 and provide cost-of-living increases in later years?

All Michiganders have a right to a living wage to support their families and have a decent quality of life.

Would you support an election initiative to require another audit of the 2020 presidential election, to transfer authority over the audit from the Secretary of State to a newly created auditing panel, and to change how elections are reviewed in the future?

The 2020 election has already been decided by the PEOPLE and we should stop wasting tax payers dollars on this topic. The Secretary of State is constitutionally directed to oversee our elections and if a oversight committee is needed, it should be the consent of that office or constitutionally amended.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Gun Violence, Access to Capital for urban economic growth, homelessness, insurance redlining to name a few more.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Working with our DPD Commissioners to create sound policy to govern how Detroiters are policed and voting No on facial recognition software, approving budget for the Detroit Police Department

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

"The only thing necessary for the triumph evil, is for good men to do nothing" (Rev Dr. MLK)

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Leadership id a process, not a position. My life has been that of a public servant and I want to continue serving our citizens of the great State of Michigan. As the next Senator for the New 6th District I will do just that. I will work to assure our quality of life improves for all Michiganders and particularly in the 6th District.
