Local Business Owner Talks with Students About Finding Your Passion, Believing in Yourself

Michele Peterson, owner of Woofie’s of Farmington Hills, recently spoke with students at Rising Stars Academy, in Center Line, MI on Friday, May 29, to discuss what it takes to be successful, set goals and follow your dreams. Peterson, who formerly held senior/executive positions at Publicis Groupe, Ford, and other global brands, had a lifelong dream of entrepreneurship. Today, she brings the structured, service-oriented approach she learned working in executive roles in the automotive industry to Woofie’s of Farmington Hills. Woofie’s provides pet sitting, dog walking and mobile grooming, with its high-tech mobile grooming spa.

Michele’s company, Woofie’s of Farmington Hills, offers combined personalized services of pet sitting, dog walking and mobile grooming, with clients receiving a complimentary initial consultation to identify pet and owner needs. Woofie’s high-tech mobile grooming spa, featuring Michele’s beloved 6-year-old cocker spaniel Onyx, comes to owners and pets, and Woofie’s offers 24/7 access to vet telehealth for pets in its care (through Pet Vet Connection), as well as the ability to access real-time GPS tracking of pet activity, journals, photos, schedule services, and communicate with providers via the Woofie’s app.
Woofie’s of Farmington Hills will officially celebrate at its “Paws and Pampering in the Park” grand opening event at Shiawassee Park in Farmington, June 9, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. The public and leashed dogs are welcome. Woofie’s will offer complimentary nail trims and pet photos as time allows and 10% off all new customer bookings. A dog-friendly food truck with homemade treats from Doggie Social Cafe will be on-site, and food, beverages, or our signature mocktail, the Tail-Wagger Spritz and grazing table available for pet parents, as leashed dogs frolic in scenic surroundings.
