COMFORCARE HOME CARE OF FARMINGTON HILLS TO HOST FREE EDUCATIONAL DEMENTIA WORKSHOP JUNE 21ST

ComForCare Home Care of Farmington Hills will host free workshop imparting best practices for caring for those with dementia on June 21st at Heartland of West Bloomfield located at 6950 Farmington Rd., West Bloomfield. The workshop is a part of ComForCare’s DementiaWise program, a nationwide program designed to enhance the lives of those living with dementia. ComForCare will host a workshop with Deborah Bier, PhD., Director of Special Populations, as the virtual keynote speaker. The event will begin at 12 p.m. and is intended for health care professionals. It runs until 3:15 p.m. Registered nurses and social workers can earn three continuing education units.
Hosted by Lisa Beaulieu owner of ComForCare of Farmington Hills, the seminar, “Game-Changing Approaches to Dementia Care for Helping Professionals” will educate attendees about dementia and how to manage its effects. The seminar will cover seven key concepts with an interactive component throughout each. Light refreshments will be provided at both seminars.
Headlining the workshop virtually is Deborah Bier, PhD., an expert on dementia, and certified by the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to train dementia caregivers and coach dementia families.
