DDCdances What's New Concert

DDCdances finishes its 32nd season in the Spring 2012 with an exciting concert. On April 27, 8 PM DDC will perform “What’s New?” at Marygrove Theater, Marygrove College, Detroit. The company will premiere 3 new works. Barbara Selinger, DDC’s artistic director and award winning choreographer, premieres “Flying…Falling…Stories,” a dance based on the elements of breath and gravity. We breathe to live, and we are always relentlessly dealing with gravity. Selinger’s innovative works always reveal the nature of the human condition. Be in store for a few surprises!

What else is new? Corinne Imberski, DDC resident choreographer and free-lance dance artist, has created a beautiful thought provoking work for 6 women that will touch your senses. Anh Nguyen, artistic director of HNM Dance, Windsor, Ont, presents an original piece designed especially of DDC. His work is well known for it musicality and fresh movement style, always a joy to watch.
