Founded by the late Leonard Riccinto, Measure for Measure is directed by conductor Steven Lorenz, and draws singers from across southeast Michigan and from an array of professions. “This ensemble is celebrated for the sheer beauty of its sound and the dazzling breadth of its repertoire,” says Dr. Gerald Custer, director of music at First Presbyterian Church. “Measure for Measure truly represents the gold standard for the male choral tradition. We are delighted that they have been able to find time in their busy performance schedule to welcome in the holidays by appearing once more on our annual concert series.”

Joining Measure for Measure as special guests will be the Langsford Men’s Chorus, led by local conductor Steven SeGraves. The Langsford ensemble is an outgrowth of a choir of alumni from the Wayne State University Men’s Glee Club, which was directed for many years by their legendary conductor, Dr. Harry Langsford.
“Given the popularity of both of these fine ensembles, seating for this event will be at a real premium,” notes Dr. Custer. “We would encourage concert-goers to plan on arriving early to avoid having to sit in our overflow seating area.”
