Schoolhouse Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills will host an open house on Sunday, July 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at its location on 29230 W. 12 Mile Road, for prospective families who are interested in obtaining information about the programs available at the school.
The Montessori Method is over 100 years old and is used in classrooms all over the world. “One of the interesting things about Montessori is that regardless of whether you are in a classroom in the United States, India, England, or Japan you will see the same materials on the shelves,” said Doron Vergun, Admissions Coordinator at the school. “It is a global way of learning.”
Visitors can walk through the school, speak to the lead teachers and register for the 2012-2013 school year. All the lead teachers at Schoolhouse Montessori Academy are Montessori certified and have a deep commitment to their students.

“Our kids are encouraged to wonder,” said Cirlette Lamsen, lead teacher in the Maple Classroom. “The one on one learning allows kids to work at an individual pace. There is no limit to what can be achieved in the Montessori classroom.”
Whether you are seeking a half day or full day program, Schoolhouse Montessori Academy seeks to encourage the growth of children through Montessori education, peaceful means and an appreciation for learning.
