Trees for Tomorrow

The Farmington Hills Nature Center is hosting “Trees for Tomorrow” - a day full of TREEriffic fun - with the help of ReLeaf Michigan and SOCWA at Heritage Park.

Schedule of Events

9 a.m. to noon ReLeaf Michigan Fundraiser Tree Sale

9:30 – 10 a.m. Compost and Marvelous Mulches. Table top demonstrations by SOCWA Master Composters (indoors) 

10 a.m. “Trees for Tomorrow...Caring for Our Community Roots." 
Tree care basics for homeowners, naturescaping tips and invasive trees. Lillian Dean, Arborist and Master Composter Coordinator, SOCWA 

11 - 11:30 a.m. Outdoor Tree Planting Demonstration. Marvin Pettway, University of Michigan Grounds, ReLeaf Michigan Volunteer, Master Composter

1 p.m. Nature Discovery Wagon ($5/person) - Hayride in the park
