Despite this year’s planned festivities, many Farmington and Farmington Hills. residents may opt to stay home as the state experiences a surge in daily coronavirus cases thanks to the fast-spreading omicron variant.

The 30 to 39-years-olds were experiencing the highest case rate and there were increases in hospital admissions among most age groups under 50, state health officials said.
