Farmington Community Chorus Finishes 2011 Stars in the Park Concert Series

The Farmington Community Chorus is the last performing group in the free summer concert series.

The Farmington Community Chorus attracted many people on a chilly Thursday evening to in Farmington Hills.

In a full evening of enjoyable music, the chorus performed many songs by Richard Rodgers, who is famous for musicals such as The King and I, South Pacific, and Oklahoma. The chorus performs three times a year, and this is their last performance before auditions in September. Their next performance is Dec. 17.

The Farmington Community Chorus was formed in 1980 to allow those who love to sing an opportunity to perform. Since that time, a new level of professionalism evolved, with weekly rehearsals, auditions for membership, traveling performances, and a regular concert series, according to the organization's website.
