The following information was supplied by the Farmington Hills Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old from Farmington Hills teen faces a number of charges after police found more than 100 grams of marijuana, a grinder, scale and plastic bags in his vehicle during a March 8 traffic stop.

According to a Farmington Hills Police report, officers stopped the teen's vehicle at Jefferson and Independence for speeding and having a loud muffler and damaged driver's side mirror. A check of his background showed a felony warrant issued by the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, for delivery of marijuana.

The report indicated that after officers found the contraband in his vehicle, the teen told them that the marijuana was left over from the felony delivery charge. In addition to the narcotics charges, he was ticketed for driving without his license.
