Farmington Hills Kmart to Close: Liquidation Sale, Last Days
Sears reportedly added Kmart stores in Michigan, Georgia, Virginia and Iowa to more than 125 previously announced closures.

Liquidation sales began April 21 at the Farmington Hills Kmart on Orchard Lake Road in preparation of the store’s mid-July closure.

Sears has made two announcements of plans to shutter more than 125 stores in recent months — including stores in Taylor and Houghton Lake, which will also close in mid-July. A Sears store in Ft. Gratiot Township and a Kmart in Ironwood have already closed as Sears Holdings tries to overcome declining revenues and billions of dollars in losses.
Riefs didn’t say in his email to O&E Media how many stores would be shuttered, but The Consumerist said the affected stores include Kmart stores in Michigan, Georgia, Iowa and West Virginia.
