Favorites from Dr. Suess Books Featured in 'Suessical'
The lively musical caper features more than 30 local actors and – best of all – you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it.

The City of Farmington Hills Youth Theatre will present “Suessical” on Saturday, August 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on Sunday, August 17 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington Players Barn located at 32332 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.
Directed by Mel Sheatzley, “Suessical” is a lively musical caper featuring over 30 local actors that’s sure to entertain audiences of all ages. The play by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty debuted on Broadway in 2000 with Dr. Seuss’s best-loved characters from his popular books including The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and Green Eggs and Ham. The musical tells stories about the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community featuring Dr. Seuss’s famous characters.
“This production takes all the fantastical characters from the classic Dr. Suess books and brings them to life,” said Armand Banooni, who plays the role of Mr. Mayor. “The songs arecatchy and I find myself, as I’m sure you will too, singing them long after the show is over.”
