Five Guys Named Moe Perform Thursday in Heritage Park

The free Stars in the Park features a popular Ann Arbor-based band.

Enjoy a fun-filled evening of free music Thursday, as the “Stars in the Park” concert series presents Five Guys Named Moe.

If the weather cooperates, the concert will be held at the amphitheater in . The rain location is the on 11 Mile, east of Middlebelt Rd.

The quintet is actually not five guys; it features three men and two women and none of them are named Moe. Musicians Myron Grant, Erin Zurbuchen, Jake Reichbart, Mary Seelhorst, and Eric Nyhuis, have been together since 1993. The lively swing and jazz quintet from Ann Arbor has delighted audiences throughout the Great Lakes region with their high-energy arrangements of old and new standards, soulful ballads, and humorous stories.

Five Guys Named Moe recently performed in Sandwich, IL at The Sandwich Opera House, in Chisholm Trail, OK at the Chisholm Trail Arts Council, and in Coldwater, MI at the Tibbits Opera House. Also active in the recording studio, the band released their first CD, “Just Say Moe,” in 2001. 

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and last until approximately 8:30 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic dinner. The concert’s rainout site is the Costick Center. To learn more, call 248-473-1856.
