Scarf Proceeds Support Heart Health

January 2014 - According to the National Coalition of Women with Heart Disease, an estimated 42 million American women live with cardiovascular disease, but too many are unaware of the threat they face.

42.7 million women are currently living with some form of cardiovascular disease.

More than 8 million women have a history of heart attack and/or angina.

7.5 million women are currently living with coronary heart disease.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death of American women, killing more than a third of them.

More women than men die of heart disease each year.

At the Ministrelli Women's Heart Center, Beaumont Health System's physicians and specialists help women live healthy lives and manage their heart health issues.  The Center is a state-of-the-art facility with on-site diagnostic capabilities for heart disease in women including stress tests, EKGs and echocardiograms (heart ultrasounds).

February is American Heart Month.  It is a time to call attention to the seriousness of heart disease and options for prevention.  For a fifth year, Lolly Ella Jewelry in West Bloomfield is partnering with the Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center at Beaumont Hospital to highlight their programs and raise donations for the Center’s scholarship fund that provides support to uninsured women. 

Donations and Reception

Throughout the month of February, Lolly Ella will be offering an exclusive

Crimson Love Scarf for just $20.  $10 of every scarf sold will be donated.

The store will also host a “Love Your Heart - Buy A Heart” promotion:

make a donation of $1, $5 or $10 and have your name displayed in the

store for the month.  Donations will be given to the Ministrelli Women’s

Heart Center at Beaumont.

 

On Saturday, February 1, 10 am – 4 pm, a special reception will be hostedGuests will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Ministrelli Center, purchase the Crimson Love Scarf, participate in the Buy A Heart program, receive $5 off purchases of $35 or more and enjoy refreshments.
